Today, the ECB have released a statement announcing the postponement of England’s tour in Sri Lanka. The tour, like other sporting events, has succumbed to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Due to the postponement the team and support-staff will be returning home.
Prior to the ECB statement, Zak Crawley was in impressive form in the warm-up games. The progressive opener scored 43 and 91 in England’s first game vs. SLC.
In the second warm-up, Zak scored 105 vs. a Sir Lankan Board President’s XI before the match was abandoned.
