Revitalised by Liam

England’s innings was revitalised by Liam Livingstone’s 95* in the second ODI against New Zealand.

In a match reduced to 34 overs per side, England at one point were struggling on 55-5 at the Ageas Bowl.

The innings was turned around by Liam’s 78 ball 95* (1 six, 9 fours) – this was his second consecutive half-century in the series. Liam’s 95* was also his highest score in ODI matches.

Crucial to England’s cause, was a seventh wicket 112 run partnership between Liam and Tom Curran (42). Together,the pair were instrumental in propelling the innings to 226-7 in the allotted 34 overs.

The England bowlers then dismissed New Zealand for 147 to level the series.

For his contribution with the bat, Liam was rewarded with the Player of the Match accolade.
