Scott Returns to Durham

Phoenix Management Group can now announce that Scott Borthwick has signed a long-term contract with Durham. Scott returns to Durham for 2021 after four seasons at Surrey.

With one year to run on his current contract, Surrey have agreed to release Scott on the completion of their 2020 season.

A graduate of Durham Academy, Scott made his first-class debut for the county in September 2009. Across all formats, he scored over 8000 runs and took 285 wickets in his first spell at Emirates Riverside.

While at Surrey Scott converted to an opening bat and this is an area Durham are looking to strengthen for 2021. Scott also offers a bowling option across all three formats of the game.

Phoenix Management Group wishes Scott every success on his return to Durham.
