Scott’s 71no

Scott Borthwick was involved in a List-A second wicket club record stand of 211 for Durham. Graham Clark’s century and Scott’s 71no saw Durham home against Hampshire, giving them a spot in the semi-finals.

Elsewhere Ed Pollock hit a rapid 44 for Warwickshire and Yorkshire’s George Hill took three Glamorgan wickets in six balls.

Durham vs. Hampshire

In defeating Hampshire, Durham finished top of Group 1. Scott Borthwick’s team go straight to the semi-finals and will take on the winners of one of the quarter final ties

Hampshire batted first, but made a disappointing 225-9 (Scott Borthwick 1-42-10).

Graham Clark (141no) and Scott Borthwick (71no) eased Durham to victory after adding 211 runs for the second wicket – a List-A record for the club.

After this commanding 9 wicket win Durham will be confident of a good semi-final showing.

Warwickshire vs. Somerset

Qualifiers Warwickshire ended Somerset’s hopes of reaching the quarter finals.

On their way to a three wicket win, Warwickshire chased down their target of 288 set by Somerset (Ed Pollock 44).

Glamorgan vs. Yorkshire

Yorkshire were the victors in a thriller at Sophia Gardens.

The visitors scored a far from match winning 230 all out (George Hill 25).

In reply, Glamorgan fell four runs short of their target, finishing on 289-7. Doing his bit for the Yorkshire’s cause, George Hill took 3 wickets in six balls (across two overs) and returned figures of 3-49-10.

Yorkshire now go through to the quarter finals.

Lancashire vs. Essex

Those watching at Emirates Old Trafford witnessed an exciting tie between Lancashire and Essex.

Lancashire, who missed out on qualification, scored 250-6 (George Balderson 0no).

Essex then also posted 250 off their 50 overs (George Balderson 1-24-6) and move onto the knock-out stage of the Royal London Cup.
