Ben Stokes is now a three-time winner of Wisden Almanack’s Leading Men’s Cricketer of the Year.
Ben previously received this prestigious honour in 2020 and 2021.
When Ben was appointed England Test captain in early 2022, the national side possessed an extensive winless record. Over the summer of 2022, England, guided by Ben, was rejuvenated. Playing exciting and headline grabbing cricket, England now boasts a current record of 10 victories from 12 Tests.
As well as helping to redefine Test cricket in 2022, Ben was also the beating-heart in England’s 2022 T20 World Cup Final win. His unbeaten 52 was decisive in the 5 wicket win over Pakistan.
