In the final of the ICC World Cup Ben grabbed the moment and made the incisive contribution in England’s heart-stopping win.
Weeks later, he produced an innings in the third Ashes Test at Headingley, that not only gave England victory but drew people into the unfolding drama.
HIs heroics have already seen Ben named the BBC Sports Personality of the Year and the ICC Cricketer of the Year. In February 2020, he also had the honour of attending Buckingham Place to receive an OBE .
Ben follows in the foot-steps of Virat Kolhl to become Wisden’s Leading Cricketer in the World.
