Final Goes to Nottinghamshire

The 2020 Vitality Blast Final goes to Nottinghamshire after defeating Surrey. Due to Saturday’s wash-out, Finals Day got underway on Sunday at Edgbaston.

Joe Clarke has been instrumental in the Outlaws securing their semi-final berth. In the group matches, Joe scored a century,  two half-centuries and amassed over 370 runs.

In the Outlaws semi-final against Lancashire, the Lightning made 94-4 in their allotted 11 overs. Liam Livingstone making a speedy 22 (2 fours, 1 six), he also passed 1500 runs in the Vitality Blast during his innings.

Nottinghamshire took under 9 overs to knock off the runs, winning the match by 5 wickets, Joe hitting 17 (2 sixes) off 8 balls.

The Outlaws faced Surrey in the final, which was reduced to 16 overs.

Surrey, who defeated Gloucestershire in their semi-final set Nottinghamshire a target of 128. Yet again the Outlaws batters knocked off the runs, claiming victory in the fourteenth over.
