Second 50 For Joe

Johannesburg – There was a second 50 for Joe Root in the final test vs. South Africa.

Joe’s first innings 59 saw him pass the landmark of 7500 test match runs. He then guided England to 248 all out by top scoring with a resilient, well-crafted, 58.

Joe was the last batter out in the second innings, falling to a spectacular catch by de Plessis. His 58 runs (5 fours, 1 six) orchestrated the innings, giving England a whopping 466 run lead.

With two days remaining, England are now in a strong position to win the series 3-1.
